Every so often a vintage dress comes along that shows workmanship and style from a bygone era. This dress is one of those and is by Pauline Trigere and is from the 70's. It reminds me very much of the dresses worn by Endora in "Bewitched" a sitcom from my childhood. Those dresses, like this one, were maxi dresses with colorful patterns and with long, long sleeves.

This dress had several processes in resist dying and painting specific parts and then was probably assembled. The workmanship and sewing are very detailed.

The buttons are covered and have to be repaired...they are so tiny and very hard to work on. Additionally the loops for the buttons have to be remade.
